Reverse Bite - treated with Dental Orthopaedics and Osteopathy

Milly was an energetic 4year old. Her mother was concerned about her reverse bite, which is having the effect of forcing the lower jaw further forward; whist at the same time, the resultant force is pulling the upper jaw, or maxilla, back. The result is a reverse bite with the lower jaw protruding in front of the upper jaw. Combined dental orthopaedics and osteopathy increased growth and forward positioning of the upper jaw and freeing of the mandible, so that it can articulate against correctly sixed upper arch.

Treatment was intermittent over approximately two years and is a good example of the need for early treatment with some malocclusions.
